From the Teachings of HIM, RasTafari speaks profoundly on Justice and Equality from the Wise Mind of HIM. Justice is a concept of moral rightness based ethics, rationality, law, natural law, religion, equity and fairness.

Similarly, Equality is the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities. Today, we must seek to maintain and uphold Justice and Equality for all.

Unless the rights of the least of men are as assiduously protected as those of the greatest, the seeds of confidence will fall on barren soil.

RasTafari speech on Justice & Equality

  • ‘The natural origin of every man being man himself and thus being equal through creation, the only difference lies in the opportunities made available.’

We all come from the same place, we are one and the same regardless of race. Therefore, no man is more or less than any man, we are all equal you and I.

What separates one from another, really is the opportunities made available to each individual, and what we make of those opportunities.

Don’t limit yourself, nor be envious of another, rather if faced with limited opportunities, create one for yourself. Educate yourself with knowledge needed to create something at your disposal.

Opportunities are endless, we just have to create it for ourselves if not presented with it. Don’t let your mind limit you of your opportunities.

  • ‘Honesty means not to oppress anybody and deny him his deserved share.’

How can you be honest and oppress a man? Or how could you deny him of his deserved share? To do this is to live in a lie and false pretense.

Honesty is the character of a Elohim fearing man, and who seeks after righteousness and justice. Who sees all his fellow bredren as equals, will not deny him or oppress him.

  • ‘He who seeks justice, knows the value of justice too.’

A man who seeks justice, understands and knows the value of justice as well. He knows how important it is to have justice having been robbed of it one way or the other.

A lack of justice, will evidently call for a cry of justice. Justice is the fundamental axiom for the survival of freedom and government. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

  • ‘All men stand equal before the law.’

Everyone, no matter whether rich or poor, great or small all stand equal before the law. The only stable state is the one in which all men are equal before the law.

  • ‘Since on the scale of creation all men are born equal, it is imperative that all laws be equitable in their application. For what is the foundation of freedom and what are the reasons that men cherish it, if they are not equal before the law?’

We are all born equal, regardless of the position in life no man is more or less than any man. Freedom belongs to every man; no man should not have the right to be free.

Therefore, the law set out before every man if it were not equal to all how then could all men be truly free? To take away the equality is to take justice away.

Where there is a lack of equality and justice, there is a lack of freedom. Let us therefore work to ensure that all law stands equal to all men.

Conclusion

We must continue to show tolerance for those whose opinions and sincerely held beliefs differ from our own. We must lead by example,

Finding a way to respect one another and to celebrate a culture that protects religious freedom while promoting equality under the law.

In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.

Therefore, let us take heed to the Teachings of HIM, to uphold and maintain Justice and Equality. As followers of theĀ faith, I pray that His speech may inspire you to seek after righteousness.
