His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I on the passing of Empress Menen
Not many are aware of the relations of Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen. Therefore it is also known that many are unaware of His Imperial Majesty speech on Empress Menen’s passing.

However, Emperor Haile Selassie I had a few words for Empress Menen upon her passing away
HIM Haile Selassie on the passing of Empress Menen
“All of you knew her well but she was more intimately known to me. She was devoutly religious and did not lose her Faith even in the time of hardship.
During the memorable days of Our companionship We never had differences that needed the intervention of others. As Sarah was to Abraham, so was she obedient to me.
Our wishes were mutual until We were separated by the Almighty. Her assistance for the good of the young, the old and the needy requires no testimony for they are greater than thoughts and words.
We have been extremely pleased to live long enough in the perfect union that enabled Us to see Our offspring. Our grand children and Our great grand children.
We are thankful to the Almighty for having vouchsafed to Us that long and uninterrupted union which is not very common in the world today:
There could be no more profound prayer for me to utter.”
Haile Selassie I Feb 15, 1962
Therefore let us use the example of Haile Selassie and His unchanging love for Empress Menen as a beacon for we who are of the faith.
Let us follow after HIM and use His exemplary life to guide us throughout our journey. Therefore I pray that you use these knowledge to help you along the way.
Let us not keep the knowledge and the orthodox way of life to ourselves. Let us unite and live in unity and come together as one. I pray that we may come together for a righteous cause.
Let these words therefore help you and strengthen your faith, be blessed. Selah.
